FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Oregon track and field team is gearing up for the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend at the Randal Tyson Track Center. They have 23 athletes competing—15 men and 8 women—and will have five chances to score points on the first day.
This year marks a shift back to a combined schedule for the championships after five years of separating the men’s and women’s events. Both days of the championship will be streamed on ESPN+, so fans can catch all the action from home.
On Friday, the day kicks off with exciting events. The schedule includes prelims for the 800 meters, mile, and 60-meter hurdles. The 5,000 meters and the distance medley relay will also take place, along with the pentathlon featuring Liisa-Maria Lusti for Oregon’s women.
Two standout competitors, Peyton Bair and Aiden Carter, will begin the heptathlon. Bair, the defending national champion from Mississippi State, and Carter, who recently won the Big Ten Indoor title, are expected to impress.

The second day of the championships will feature finals for those who advance from Friday’s prelims. There are also more opportunities for scoring, such as the men’s shot put and the final events of the heptathlon.
