The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the corner of Halleck and Cornwall, culminating in a festival at Bellingham High School with food, music, and various resources.
After the parade, head over to Sehome Hill Arboretum. The WWU Outback Farm will be celebrating the arboretum with interpretive walks from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. These walks focus on geology, ecology, and bird watching, making it a great chance to explore nature. There will also be workshops, stories, and live music. Check in at the Outback Farm (516 High St.) to join in. This event is free for everyone!
If cars are your passion, don’t miss the 30th Annual Car Show hosted by Corvettes Unlimited at Bellewood Farms in Lynden. Starting at 10 a.m., this event features corvette and open-class categories, alongside live music and food. The award ceremony kicks off at 2 p.m., ensuring a day full of excitement.
For music lovers, the Wild Buffalo in downtown Bellingham is hosting REPOSADO on Saturday night. Known for their unique sound dubbed “Tequila Funk,” this Seattle-based band will take the stage at 9 p.m. Tickets are available on wildbuffalo.net.
These events not only highlight the local culture but also foster a sense of community. As more of these events pop up, they bring folks together, reinforcing bonds and creating lasting memories. So, whether you’re supporting local youth at the PRIDE parade, enjoying nature, admiring classic cars, or grooving to live music, Whatcom County is the place to be this weekend!
