Taylor is the co-founder and vice president of Seneca Lake Guardian and helped create the National Coalition Against Cryptomining.

She has played a key role in shutting down fossil fuel projects, blocking harmful garbage incinerators near the Finger Lakes, and rallying public support for stronger climate protections in New York. Currently, she is focused on the challenges posed by cryptomining.
Cryptocurrency mining requires significant computing power and poses threats to local energy grids, water sources, and ecosystems. Through the coalition formed in 2021, Taylor has raised awareness in communities across 22 states about these dangers. “This award belongs to our incredible team and everyone who has supported us,” Taylor said, emphasizing her commitment to a sustainable future for her community and beyond.
