Zach Bryan surprised fans at the Born & Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, by joining Gabriella Rose on stage. But it wasn’t all fun. Bryan confronted fellow country singer Gavin Adcock, who had criticized him online.
In a video circulating on social media, Bryan can be seen climbing a barbed-wire fence, approaching Adcock. Security stepped in to separate the two. Just before the altercation, Bryan reportedly shouted, “If they open up this fucking gate, I’ll fucking kill you.” Adcock, dressed in a vest and hat, fired back, “I got a show to play, you clown son of a bitch.”
Their feud dates back to July when Adcock criticized Bryan’s reaction to fans who felt slighted over his lack of interaction after a concert. Bryan had expressed that fans shouldn’t feel entitled after he performs a lengthy set. Adcock believes Bryan isn’t genuine. Appearing on a podcast, he claimed, “Zach Bryan puts on a big mask… sometimes he can’t help but rip it off.”
Adcock isn’t new to controversy. Recently, he stirred up drama with cowboy singer Charley Crockett, even attacking Crockett’s music credibility. During a show with Morgan Wallen, he showcased a T-shirt with Crockett’s photo, which Wallen reacted to in a bold way.
In June, Adcock also drew attention by stating that Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter wasn’t country music. “That shit ain’t country music,” he declared on stage, later discussing it on the same podcast.
Bryan has also faced his share of drama. He has had conflicts with his ex, Brianna LaPaglia, and fellow musician John Moreland. Bryan even removed a song he did with Moreland after a disagreement over his recent $350 million publishing deal, stating he wouldn’t have anyone with issues on his records.
