AMARILLO, Texas – The WT Enterprise and Small Business Development Center is buzzing with activity as new businesses pop up in 2025.
Every January, many aspiring entrepreneurs seek help to turn their ideas into reality. This year, the center has noticed a growth in individuals coming in for support.
“We’ve seen a noticeable increase in foot traffic this January compared to last year,” said Gina Woodward, the regional director. This trend shows a positive shift since the pandemic.
Small businesses play a crucial role in boosting the local economy. They create jobs and provide opportunities for the community.
Brian Enevoldsen, managing director at the WT Enterprise Center, emphasized the importance of new employers. “We need these businesses to ensure that our talented students from WT can find jobs here,” he said. As more small businesses emerge, they help the entire community thrive.
