Cassie Ventura Returns to Court: Key Testimony in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Sex-Trafficking Trial

Singer Cassie Ventura, known for her past relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, testified in his federal trial this week. The trial is focused on serious charges against Combs, including racketeering and sex trafficking.

Ventura, who is eight and a half months pregnant, shared harrowing details. She described years of physical abuse and violent control during their on-and-off relationship. In court, she said Combs often turned arguments into violent situations, claiming he would hit, drag, and kick her.

In 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs, alleging abuse. Though they settled, the lawsuit triggered a federal investigation, resulting in Combs’s arrest in September 2024. He faces multiple charges but has pleaded not guilty.

As she recounted her experiences, emotions took over. At times, she paused to collect herself or dab away tears. Ventura revealed that she felt pressured into “freak-offs,” drug-fueled sexual encounters directed by Combs, often involving male escorts. She explained how Combs would supply drugs, like MDMA, to keep her awake and disconnected from the reality of the situation.

These encounters left her feeling degraded and worthless. She recalled thinking that she needed to keep Combs happy, fearing what he might do if she said “no.” “Make the wrong face, and the next thing I knew, I would get hit," she told the court.

Ventura first met Combs when she was just 19, describing him as a charismatic figure in the music industry. She signed a 10-album deal with his record label, Bad Boy Records, but only released one album.

Towards the end of her testimony, prosecutors began questioning her about a critical piece of evidence: a 2016 hotel surveillance video showing Combs dragging her. Ventura explained that this incident occurred during one of the “freak-offs” when things turned violent.

Her testimony continues, and the trial may last up to eight weeks. If convicted, Combs could face life in prison.
