Exciting New ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’ Features Star-Studded Cast with Milo Ventimiglia, Kiernan Shipka, and Michael Rooker: Dive into David Mason’s Journey in 2035!

Microsoft’s Activision is changing things up with the “Call of Duty” franchise, introducing fresh ideas and big-name stars.

During the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 7” was revealed. This is special because it’s the first time two “Black Ops” games are released back-to-back. The game is set in 2035, over 40 years after “Black Ops 6.”

This time, the game features actors like Milo Ventimiglia, Kiernan Shipka, and Michael Rooker, who will provide voice and motion capture performances. Ventimiglia plays David Mason, a character fans will remember from “Black Ops 2.” Shipka takes on a new role as Emma Kagan, the CEO of an organization known as The Guild. Rooker returns as Mike Harper, bringing back a beloved character.

Activision’s Tyler Bahl said they chose Ventimiglia because he fits perfectly with Mason’s character. He also expressed excitement about Shipka’s role, noting her talent and current popularity.

Despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike impacting many video games, “Black Ops 7” is not affected, ensuring its development continues smoothly.

The game promises to be intense. Players will face a world teetering on the edge of chaos, using advanced tech to battle enemies who manipulate fear. It will include a co-op campaign and round-based zombies like its predecessor.

“Black Ops 7” will be available on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC through platforms like Battle.net and Steam. Interestingly, it’ll launch without extensive pre-promotion, aiming for a surprise drop similar to how some artists release music albums unexpectedly.

This strategy mirrors recent trends seen in the gaming industry, where surprise releases often capture players’ interest and excitement. This approach aligns with the growing demand for immediate and interactive entertainment experiences.

As the gaming landscape evolves, fans can look forward to experiencing this new chapter in the “Call of Duty” universe.
