Discover Eagan’s Guinness World Record Ice Maze: The Largest in the World!

The ice maze at the Minnesota Ice Festival in Eagan is now the largest in the world. This accomplishment comes after last year’s event was canceled due to unusually warm weather.

During the grand opening on Friday, Robbie Harrell, the founder of Minnesota Ice, received a certificate from Guinness World Records. Brittany Dunn, a Guinness adjudicator, congratulated him, saying, “Congratulations, you are officially a-maze-ing!” This moment was shared on Minnesota Ice’s Facebook page.

The maze covers more than 18,148 square feet, beating the previous record-holder, the Arctic Glacier Ice Maze in Buffalo, N.Y., which was 12,855 square feet back in 2010.

Robbie Harrell expressed excitement about the event, saying how great it is for people to come together and celebrate winter in Minnesota. The snowfall added to the festive atmosphere, making it even more special.

This year’s festival also features three ice slides, an ice-skating rink, and ice bars. Everyone can enjoy these attractions until mid-February, making it a perfect winter outing for families and friends.
