Traditional ship maintenance often comes with fixed schedules, which can be expensive and sometimes lead to unplanned downtimes. With the VIB 360 system, ship operators can shift to Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM). This approach not only minimizes downtime but can also cut maintenance costs by up to 30%. The collaboration between IRS and Neptunus is set to create new standards for maritime maintenance, focusing on real-time data. This shift supports India’s Digital Maritime Vision, which aims to boost operational reliability and reduce carbon emissions through targeted diagnostics.
