Last week, Nintendo launched the ‘Global Test Ride’ demo for the highly anticipated Switch 2 game, Kirby Air Riders. Now, they’ve rolled out an update to enhance the demo experience. The new patch, Version 1.0.1, aims to fix several issues that players encountered during the first test.
Here’s what the update addresses:
- It improves online communication stability.
- It resolves issues with City Trial matching not connecting after a prolonged wait.
- It fixes problems where City Trial matches wouldn’t start correctly.
- It addresses cases where some players’ games would lag or halt due to communication errors.
- Additional gameplay fixes are included.
Players should be aware that some matching and communication issues could still occur post-update. If you find yourself waiting longer than 90 seconds for a match, exit the screen or restart the game if exiting proves difficult.
The testing for Kirby Air Riders gives players the chance to experience features before the full release. Experts believe this strategy allows Nintendo to gather valuable feedback to fine-tune gameplay. In a recent survey, 68% of gamers indicated they appreciate participating in early testing phases to influence game development.
