Teams in the Pots

Group Stage Format
Teams in Pot 1 will occupy the top spot in their groups. Importantly, no two teams from the same confederation can be in a group together, except for teams from Europe, which have a higher number.
During the group stage, teams will play each other in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-place teams, will advance to the knockout stage.
Knockout Stage
The knockout stage is a single-elimination process. Teams must win to move forward, going through five rounds: Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Final. Additionally, there will be a third-place match between the losing Semifinalists.
