Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – December 8, 2025: IHG Hotels & Resorts is teaming up with SEDCO Capital to launch the Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah. This new lifestyle hotel, featuring 150 rooms, will serve as a key part of the Grand Square development on King Abdulaziz Road.
The Grand Square project, a collaboration between Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, MASIC Investment Company, and SEDCO Capital, aims to reshape urban living in Jeddah by bringing together hotels, shops, and office spaces in one hub.
Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah will embody the brand’s unique design philosophy, immersing guests in the local culture and vibe. The hotel promises stylish rooms, upscale amenities, and a friendly atmosphere that combines creativity with comfort.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts in the India, Middle East, and Africa region, emphasized the rise of lifestyle travel in Saudi Arabia. He stated, “Opening this Hotel Indigo will expand our presence in Jeddah and support the country’s efforts to diversify its tourism options.” He highlighted that the brand thrives on storytelling and local engagement, making it a perfect fit for Jeddah’s rich cultural landscape.
Abdulwahhab Abed, CEO of SEDCO Capital, also shared insights about the partnership, pointing out its alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. “This project is a significant step towards developing real estate that adds value to our communities,” he noted, showcasing their commitment to enhancing Jeddah as a vibrant urban center.
Currently, IHG has 46 hotels across Saudi Arabia and plans to open an additional 60 hotels over the next few years, highlighting the growing interest in the region’s hospitality sector.
In a recent survey by Statista, 66% of travelers expressed a preference for lifestyle and boutique hotels, showcasing a clear trend towards unique and locally-inspired accommodations. With venues like Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah, IHG aims to meet this demand and create spaces where guests can truly connect with their surroundings.
