BEND, Ore. — People in Oregon who lost food purchased with SNAP benefits during recent storms can now request replacements for an extended period. The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) announced that residents in 19 counties have until January 16, 2026, to report their losses. This applies to those affected by power outages since December 17.
The counties included in this extension are Jefferson, Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Douglas, Hood River, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Wallowa, Washington, and Yamhill.
If you live outside those counties, you still have the usual 10 days to report food losses, and you may need to provide proof.
To request replacement SNAP benefits, you can:
- Apply online or through your local office.
- Call ODHS for assistance.
Approved benefits will be loaded onto your existing EBT card, up to your usual monthly SNAP amount.
