A surgeon from Chicago, Michael McKee, has been indicted for the murders of his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, and her husband, Spencer Tepe. The Franklin County grand jury charged him with four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary. According to the indictment, McKee allegedly used a firearm equipped with a silencer during the crime.
If convicted, McKee could face life in prison without the possibility of parole. He was arrested last Saturday in Rockford, Illinois, about 90 miles from Chicago, where he works as a vascular surgeon. In court, his public defender indicated that McKee plans to plead not guilty. He is currently being held in Winnebago County Jail, awaiting extradition to Columbus.
