This week, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History opens a new exhibit showcasing this whimsical aesthetic. Expect symmetrical compositions, oddball characters, and pastel colors, all set against the beautiful backdrop of California’s Central Coast, including Santa Cruz County. The opening reception tonight is a great reason to wear your best Wes Anderson-inspired outfit!

On Saturday night, the Rio Theatre presents the She Adventures Film Tour. This collection of short films features incredible women athletes tackling thrilling adventures worldwide.
If you’re feeling nostalgic for the ’90s, swing by Felton Music Hall on Friday. You’ll catch Corduroy, a tribute band that pays homage to Pearl Jam.
On Sunday, Canadian singer-songwriter Fred Eaglesmith will perform at Kuumbwa. He’s a local favorite, having played countless times in Santa Cruz.
Don’t miss the Peacoat Project on Saturday. Santa Cruz musician Peter Koht brings together friends to showcase songs inspired by the pandemic.
This weekend, the community choir Pacific Voices collaborates with DJ Monk Earl for an exciting performance called “Good Trouble,” inspired by the activism of the late John Lewis.
Lastly, Bryce Vine, known for his catchy track “Drew Barrymore,” will be taking the stage at The Catalyst on Friday with new music from his upcoming album “Motel California.”
