BORMIO, Italy – Swiss skier Franjo von Allmen made headlines by winning the downhill event at the Milan Cortina Games. This was no ordinary victory; it marked his first Olympic gold medal in his debut race.
Just a few years ago, von Allmen faced huge challenges. After losing his father, funding his skiing career became difficult. Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign, he revived his aspirations and earned a spot on Switzerland’s national C team.
