RADD Sports College Invitational
GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Over the weekend, the UAH men’s and women’s track and field teams showcased their talents at the RADD Sports College Invitational. They secured seven finishes in the top three, demonstrating their competitive spirit.
Men’s Highlights
- Noah George ran an impressive 3,000 meters, taking third place with a time of 8:22.12. Nathan Knox followed closely in sixth, finishing at 8:23.18, and Jonah Frey came in tenth with a time of 8:24.59.
- The men’s 4,000 meter distance medley relay team, including Cannon Peters, Jaiden Young, Adam Taylor, Conner Patterson, and Dylan Dryer, clinched first place, completing the race in 9:58.99. This performance also earned them a NCAA Division II Provisional Mark.
- Cole Robinson and Tripp Miller put up strong showings in the 5,000 meters, finishing second and third respectively with times of 14:39.20 and 14:41.98.
- In the men’s 800 meters, Conner Patterson placed sixth (1:54.25), while Adam Taylor was seventh (1:54.43).
- Adolfo Mireles excelled in the men’s heptathlon, scoring 4,700 points for a third-place finish, and Sage Robertson came in seventh with 4,291 points.
Women’s Highlights
- Raegan Miller shone in the women’s pole vault, securing second place with a height of 3.50 meters.
- The women’s 4,000 meter distance medley relay team, composed of Tamsyn Gibbs, Anna Katherine Hopkins, Holly Sillivant, and Sophia Knox, finished first with a time of 12:38.97.
- In the women’s 5,000 meters, Lucy Barker and Abby Weist took sixth and seventh, clocking in at 18:46.61 and 18:47.66, respectively.
- Hope Collins achieved eighth place in the women’s indoor pentathlon, scoring 2,686 points.
Looking Ahead
The Chargers are gearing up for their next competition on Friday and Saturday at the Louisville PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s an exciting opportunity for the team to build on their recent success!
