Don’t forget about the habits that can harm your heart. Avoid smoking, manage stress, and aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Regular check-ups with your doctor can help you keep track of important health numbers, like blood pressure and cholesterol.

Knowing the warning signs of a heart attack can save lives. In men, common symptoms include chest pain, discomfort in the left arm, shortness of breath, and sweating. Women might have similar symptoms but can also experience nausea, unusual fatigue, back or jaw pain, and dizziness without chest pain. According to the American Heart Association, nearly half of all adults have some form of heart disease or are at risk.
