Discovering Wellness & Wonders: Your Ultimate Journey from the Hills to India

Join us for a wonderful cultural celebration in Chiang Mai on March 28, 2026. This event brings together the essence of Lanna culture and Indian traditions through film and creative activities.

Organized by the Consulate of India in Chiang Mai and Chiang Mai University’s Indian Studies Center, this evening promises to be rich in experiences. You’ll not only enjoy a free screening of the Bollywood hit Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, but also explore various cultural zones dedicated to both Lanna and Indian traditions.

The event kicks off with a wellness market from 1 PM to 6 PM. Visitors can indulge in unique flavors from both cultures. There will be activities like henna art, spice crafts, and a relaxing sound bath featuring Tibetan singing bowls. A special AI-powered experience will allow guests to transform their look Bollywood-style!

Additionally, there will be traditional Indian games and a striking installation of an electric tuk-tuk styled in both Lanna and Indian design. This event is designed for everyone, making it perfect for families.

Before the film screening at 6:30 PM, the opening ceremony will set the stage for an engaging evening. Don’t miss the “Magic of Bharat Dress & Spirit of Lanna” photo contest, where participants can showcase their creativity in traditional attire. Submissions will be accepted from March 21-27, with winners announced live at the event.

As an exciting bonus, the grand prize for the photo contest is a luxury wellness getaway at Insda Wellness Resort. This includes a lavish stay, a fusion dinner, and an Ayurvedic spa experience designed for relaxation and well-being.

This event is not just about films; it’s a deep dive into cultural connections, creativity, and community. By bringing people together, it highlights the beauty of diversity through cinema and lifestyle.
