ECU Health is launching a community event aimed at raising cancer awareness. The “Quack Back at Cancer” event takes place this Saturday at Lake Laupus, starting at 9 a.m.
Participants can join a one-mile interactive walk around the lake, beginning at 9:15 a.m. Along the route, there will be several resource stations where attendees can learn about cancer prevention, focusing on the most common cancers in North Carolina.
This event provides a valuable opportunity for community members to connect with healthcare professionals in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s also a chance to meet others who are affected by cancer. A dermatologist will be available to offer skin checks, an important step in early detection.
