2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
The 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards are here, and this time, they’re shining a spotlight on Point of Sale (PoS) solutions. This annual celebration showcases the latest in retail technology, highlighting how businesses adapt in our fast-paced omnichannel world.
Entries are now open, with winners set to be announced at the awards ceremony on November 4th at The HAC in Central London. This venue promises to be the biggest yet, accommodating a record number of attendees and submissions.
Last year’s awards were a hit, featuring a sold-out event on October 16th, complete with a three-course meal and entertainment from the talented Tiff Stevenson. Founder and Editor Scott Thompson reflected on the growth of the event, noting how it has evolved from a small gathering to a significant celebration of innovation.
“This year’s entries are the strongest we’ve seen,” Thompson shared. “Judges highlighted the remarkable innovations in both traditional and digital retail spaces.”

According to a recent survey by Statista, over 50% of consumers prefer contactless payments, pointing to a shift in shopping habits that businesses must address.
Moreover, with e-commerce booming, the need for seamless integration between online and offline experiences has never been more crucial. Retailers are investing heavily in technology to streamline these interactions, ensuring customers enjoy a smooth shopping journey no matter where they are.
