Discover Newport Mental Health’s Exciting 2026 Fundraising Events: Join the Cause!

Newport Mental Health is gearing up for its 2026 fundraising events aimed at supporting free mental health and substance use care in Newport County. These gatherings promise to make a real difference while providing enjoyable experiences for attendees.

Last year, Newport Mental Health provided $1.2 million in no-cost care to those in need through its Annual Fund. The upcoming events will help continue this essential work.

The first event is the Drive for Mental Health Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 22, at 1 p.m. It will take place at The Aquidneck Club, a lovely private golf course with stunning views of Narragansett Bay. The Horan Building Company is stepping in as the presenting sponsor. You can register to participate at their official golf page.

Next up is Mah Jongg for Mental Health on Wednesday, July 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at IYRS Restoration Hall. This event will feature engaging gameplay and a chance to connect with others. The Crak Bam Dotsie School of Mah Jongg is the presenting sponsor this year. Registration starts on May 18 via Newport Mental Health’s website.

The highlight of the season is the Soaring Gala on Thursday, September 24, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Newport Beach House. This revamped gala will include cocktails and dinner with a view of First Beach, along with auctions and a program focused on storytelling and community connections. Tickets will be available in June.

According to Newport Mental Health, “These events provide unique chances to make a lasting impact while enjoying unforgettable experiences.” By participating, attendees support the mission to ensure everyone in Newport County has access to high-quality mental health care, regardless of their ability to pay.

As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, Newport Mental Health offers programs for both children and adults. If you or someone you know needs help, you can reach them at 401-846-1213. More details can be found on their website.

In the current climate, mental health is more important than ever. A recent study by the National Institute of Mental Health indicates that nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. live with a mental illness. This highlights why initiatives like those by Newport Mental Health are crucial. By attending these events, you’re not just having fun; you’re contributing to a vital cause that impacts many lives.

Join Newport Mental Health this fundraising season to be part of a meaningful change in your community.
