The Morehead State University Foundation has launched the Do Good: Morgan Wells Delta Gamma Sisterhood Scholarship. This scholarship will assist students who are active members of the Delta Omicron chapter of the Delta Gamma Fraternity.
Thanks to the generosity of MSU alumni Sarah Boden-Scaggs (Class of 2020), Alexandria Bush (Class of 2022), and Emma Day (Class of 2021), this scholarship became a reality. Their bond with Victoria Morgan Wells inspired them to create this meaningful fund.
Morgan began her journey at MSU in fall 2017, following her family’s tradition as an Eagle legacy. She dove into campus life, joining the Delta Gamma Fraternity and the Order of Omega. After graduating in December 2020, Morgan stayed actively involved with MSU, becoming a member of the Delta Gamma alumni chapter. She was accepted into the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and, as a dedicated fourth-year student, served as president of the neuropsychiatry department, focusing on advancing mental health care.
Sadly, Morgan passed away in 2024 at the young age of 25. Known for her kindness and commitment to helping others, she embodied Delta Gamma’s mission: to foster friendship, promote education, and develop a strong sense of social responsibility.
The Do Good: Morgan Wells Delta Gamma Sisterhood Scholarship honors her remarkable legacy at MSU. It aims to support sisters who reflect Morgan’s dedication to leadership, academic achievement, and service to others.
According to a recent study by the Institute of Educational Sciences, scholarships like this can significantly impact a student’s decision to attend college, with over 70% of students citing financial aid as a crucial factor. This scholarship opens doors and inspires future generations to follow in Morgan’s footsteps, embodying the spirit of service and excellence she represented.
