The Baltimore Ravens are implementing a rigorous offensive system under first-year Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle. During a recent OTA practice, Doyle expressed his intention to challenge players with a demanding approach.
“We’re giving these guys a lot intentionally, really trying to see what they can handle,” Doyle stated. He emphasized the importance of pushing players to promote growth. “I think growth happens on the other side of stress, so we need to stress them,” he added.
The Ravens are looking to improve upon their performance; after finishing as the NFL’s top offense in 2024, they fell to 16th in total offense in 2025 and missed the playoffs. With a roster that includes Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers, and Mark Andrews, the team is aiming to regain elite status under Doyle’s guidance.
Player Zay Flowers appreciates Doyle’s challenging tactics, calling him a “genius” and noting the innovative plays and routes he introduces. Flowers commented, “He teaches you in a certain way where you remember the plays… but he gives you a lot, and he talks fast, too. I’m like, ‘Hey, Coach, chill, chill.’ I love it. We’ve been loving it so far.”
