AMC Entertainment has made an exciting change by promoting Nikkole Denson-Randolph to Senior Vice President and U.S. Chief Content Officer. She has played a key role in successfully distributing concert films like Taylor Swift’s and Beyoncé’s.

This promotion comes as Elizabeth Frank, who has been leading the worldwide programming as Chief Content Officer, steps down to become the CEO of 3D technology company RealD.

In this reshuffle, Juan Antonio Gomez, who is currently the Chief Partnership and Content Officer at AMC’s Odeon Cinemas Group, will now guide all film and content programming outside the U.S.

Denson-Randolph will take charge of AMC’s U.S. film programming, content acquisition, and movie strategies. She will also work closely with studios and the creative community, operating from Los Angeles and reporting directly to AMC Chairman and CEO Adam Aron. She will join AMC’s Executive Committee as well.

Gomez, based in London, will continue to report to Mark Way, President of AMC Europe & Managing Director of Odeon Cinemas Group, while also being a part of Odeon’s Executive Committee.

Nikkole has been with AMC for 16 years, holding various positions, including her most recent role as Senior VP of Content Strategy & Inclusive Programming. She led the distribution of successful concert films like Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour and Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé. She also launched initiatives like AMC Artisan Films. Before joining AMC, she worked with Starbucks’ entertainment group and was President of Magic Johnson Entertainment.

Adam Aron expressed confidence in Denson-Randolph’s ability to elevate unique cinematic voices and bring diverse content to audiences. He stressed that her contributions have significantly influenced AMC’s success over the years.

As for Gomez, Aron praised his exceptional industry knowledge, believing he will effectively lead the programming for AMC’s screens worldwide. His skills have made a noticeable impact on the cinema business in Europe.

Frank, who spent 15 years at AMC, was pivotal in its rise to the top among global exhibitors. Aron expressed gratitude for her dedication and excitement for her new role as CEO of RealD, which is a significant programming partner for both AMC and Odeon.
