The risk corridor spans from South America to parts of Asia and Africa, exposing many populated regions to potential danger.

If 2024 YR4 were to collide with Earth, scientists estimate it could unleash energy 500 times greater than an atomic bomb. This asteroid is currently rated three on the Torino Scale, a system that assesses the threat level of near-Earth objects. This places it alongside other notable threats like the asteroid 99942 Apophis, often referred to as the ‘God of Chaos.’
