EA and Battlefield Studios recently changed their minds about a significant update for Battlefield 6 after hearing feedback from players.
Initially, they reduced spawn ticket numbers in the Conquest mode, but this change has now been entirely removed. The timer limit has also gone back to the original 45 minutes.
Conquest is a fan-favorite mode where two teams compete for objectives on vast maps. The attackers must destroy sector objectives before time runs out or they run out of spawn tickets.
This change aimed to enhance the gameplay experience. Developers believed that matches were often running too long, but this did not sit well with the community. Many players prefer the dynamic and extended battles that Conquest offers.
The reversal shows how quickly Battlefield Studios is responding to player concerns. This is not an isolated incident; they have been making numerous adjustments to Battlefield 6. Recent updates included removing “Ladder Launching,” fixing movement bugs, and addressing issues with weapon accuracy. These efforts come as Battlefield 6 has surpassed seven million copies sold since its launch.
Interestingly, a recent survey by GameSpot found that 75% of players appreciate developers listening to community feedback. This trend is becoming vital in modern gaming, highlighting the importance of player engagement in shaping game development.
