Oregon State Shines at NCAA West Regionals
College Station, Texas – Oregon State kicked off the NCAA West Regionals with some impressive performances. Sara Sanders and Jillian Brown stood out, both achieving personal bests.
In the javelin, Sara Sanders threw an amazing 52.17m (171-2), earning her a spot in the NCAA Championships in Eugene. This throw also put her third on Oregon State’s all-time list. Her teammates, Maryann Ackerman and Isabelle Esler, finished 30th and 36th, respectively, wrapping up their seasons with solid efforts.
On the track, Jillian Brown clocked in at 2:05.35 in the 800 meters, also a personal best. Her performance not only ranked her 15th overall but also improved her position to second in Oregon State history.
Delaney Bahn participated in the long jump, achieving a mark of 6.08m (19-11.5) for a 29th place finish. Ainsley Herron ran the 1,500 meters, finishing 46th with a time of 4:40.57.
The Beavers will return to compete on Saturday, aiming to join Sanders in Eugene.
