Timing:
The storm will start late today and continue into Sunday evening. Expect the heaviest snow on Sunday itself.
The weather is about to change quickly. It will begin as light snow today, with about 5 to 10 cm expected. But conditions will worsen by Sunday morning with an extra 10 to 20 cm possible.
Travel will be very difficult, and it’s not advisable to be on the roads on Sunday. Heavy snow may reduce visibility to near zero, making driving dangerous.
It’s wise to delay any non-essential trips until the weather improves. Public Safety Canada also suggests having an emergency plan. Make sure you have essentials like water, food, medicine, and a flashlight ready.
