Braven Health Unveils Exciting Health Fairs and Luncheons for Veterans: Join Us for Wellness and Community!

Braven Health, part of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield New Jersey, is teaming up with the Veterans Foundation of America and Feeding Our Heroes to organize a series of health fairs for veterans in 2025. The first event will happen on May 30 at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center in Branch Brook Park, Newark, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

What makes this health fair special is that all services will be free for veterans. Braven Health’s sponsorship covers costs, ensuring that our heroes can access vital health services without worry.

Among the services provided is a free breast cancer screening, courtesy of University Hospital. To qualify for this mammogram, veterans must be 40 or older or have been exposed to burn pits or other cancer-causing agents without having had a mammogram in the last year. Registration is required in advance; you can find more details on how to register here.

Other services at the health fair do not require pre-registration, but veterans should bring identification or proof of military service.

Colonel (Ret) Jeff Cantor, from Braven Health, shared, “Honoring veterans starts with action. This event promotes community, gratitude, and proactive wellness.”

The health fair is not just about individual screenings; it aims to create a sense of community and provide vital resources for veterans and their families. A complimentary lunch will also be offered by Feeding Our Heroes.
