Qatar’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, recently spoke at the Doha Forum, emphasizing that the ceasefire in Gaza is at a “critical moment.” As the first phase of a peace initiative ends, there is still one Israeli hostage being held by militants.

UNRWA’s director expressed that without the agency’s resources and expertise, filling the resulting gap would be a challenge. The U.S. has cut funding to UNRWA, further complicating aid efforts.
This conflict has seen devastating human costs. The war, which began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas militants attacked Israel, has resulted in significant casualties. Reports indicate that over 70,000 Palestinians have died, with nearly half being women and children.
