During the Eagles’ Super Bowl 59 victory parade in Philadelphia, two women were shot. The incident happened along Ben Franklin Parkway. While details remain unclear, it seems no one in the crowd heard the shots.
The victims, both in their 20s, were shot in the legs and sought help at a medic station nearby. Thankfully, they are in stable condition. Police believe the shooting resulted from an argument, and they are searching for a male suspect wearing a gray Eagles jersey.
Reports suggest that at least one more person may have been shot, although that information hasn’t been confirmed by various sources.
City officials had anticipated a huge turnout for the parade, expecting around 1 million people to celebrate. Unfortunately, this year’s celebration recalls last year’s tragedy during the Kansas City Chiefs’ parade, where one person was killed and multiple others injured due to a shooting related to a dispute.
