Caitlin Clark Out for the 2025 WNBA Season
The Indiana Fever announced today that Caitlin Clark, their star guard, will miss the rest of the 2025 WNBA season. She has been out since injuring her right groin during a game against the Connecticut Sun on July 15. Unfortunately, during her recovery, she also developed a bone bruise.
Amber Cox, COO and GM of the Fever, shared, “Caitlin has put in a lot of effort to recover. But we have to prioritize her long-term health. We look forward to seeing her fully healthy for the 2026 season.”
Clark’s performance this year has been impressive. In her 13 games, she averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds. She even helped the Fever secure the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup title, showcasing her talent and leadership on the court.
Injuries like Clark’s are not uncommon in sports. According to a recent study, about 50% of injuries in professional basketball are related to the groin area. This highlights how crucial it is for athletes to take their recovery seriously to avoid long-term setbacks.
Fans have shown strong support for Clark on social media. Many have shared their encouragement, using hashtags like #GetWellCaitlin. Her dedication has made her a fan favorite, and many are eager to see her return.
As the Fever look ahead to the 2026 season, they’re focused on Clark’s recovery and building a stronger team. The hope is that with the right care, she will be back to her best form in no time.
