This game is significant as it’s the third time the two teams have faced off, with Vanderbilt winning both previous encounters.

Sun Devil Highlights:
The Sun Devils have started the season strong, winning five of their first seven games and remaining unbeaten at home. Junior Jordyn Behar is making waves, leading the NCAA with 27 assists. Senior goalie Katie Vahle is also shining, amassing 76 saves so far this season.

Anna Viglione has been on fire too, recognized as this week’s Big 12 Midfielder of the Week. She achieved a career-high of 15 draw controls in a game against Saint Joseph’s, bringing her total to 63 draw controls this season.

ASU is leading the Big 12 in several categories, including:

  • Assists per game: 7.57
  • Draw controls per game: 17.14
  • Save percentage: .503
  • Points per game: 22.57

Impressively, they rank in the top 20 nationally in all these categories.

About Vanderbilt:
Vanderbilt will be making their second visit to Tempe. They have struggled this season, only winning two of six games, but both victories were on the road. Last year, they finished with a 9-8 record and were eliminated in the first round of the ACC tournament by Florida, a team now in the Big 12.

Notable Details about the Sun Devils:

  • Katie Vahle is just 23 saves away from tying the program’s all-time record of 576.
  • Junior attacker Teagan Ng is aiming for her 100th career point, which would make her the eighth Sun Devil to reach that milestone.
  • Lydia Oldknow has kept an impressive 26-game point-scoring streak alive.
  • Jordyn Behar had her fourth game this season with 5 or more assists against Mercer, maintaining her position as the NCAA leader in this category.

With the home crowd behind them, the Sun Devils are prepared to take on the Commodores and add another win to their record.
