Here’s what happened this week at Eagle Nest Lake:
Shaleigh Prock and Abagale Lopez from Amarillo had a great day fishing on March 1. They caught four impressive trout, each between 18 to 22 inches. Their secret? A mix of Orange, Orange Twist, Rainbow, and Cheese PowerBait. On the same trip, Michael Lopez Sr. had his hands full battling a massive grass carp.
Larry Tafoya from Rio Rancho also found success. He caught his limit of rainbow trout, with the largest being 20 inches long, using Salmon Peach PowerBait also on March 1.
