Utah State University celebrated its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame induction on Friday. This year’s honorees included seven remarkable figures who made significant contributions to various sports at the university.

Gary Andersen (Football Coach, 2009-12, 2019-20)
Gary Andersen transformed Utah State’s football program during his tenures. When he took over in 2008, the team had suffered through 11 losing seasons and hadn’t reached a bowl game in 14 years. By 2011, Andersen led the Aggies to their first winning season since 1997. Under his guidance, the team broke records and achieved back-to-back bowl appearances. Academically, his focus helped a large number of players excel in their studies, setting high standards for future teams.Devyn Christensen (Women’s Basketball, 2010-13)
Devyn was a standout player, earning all-conference honors and leaving her mark in the record books. She holds the top position for both 3-pointers made and free throw percentage. Her ability to score 30+ points in critical games highlights her talent, especially during the 2013 WAC Championship semifinals.Shawn Daniels (Men’s Basketball, 2000-01)
Shawn was essential in leading the Aggies to two NCAA Tournament appearances. He was a consistent force in scoring and rebounding, and his defensive skills resulted in a school-record number of blocks. His pivotal role helped the Aggies secure their first NCAA Tournament win in over three decades.Tyler Larsen (Football, 2009-13)
As an offensive lineman, Tyler was recognized as an All-American. He started 52 consecutive games, contributing to three bowl appearances and a conference championship. After graduating, he enjoyed a successful 10-year career in the NFL, showcasing his skill and dedication.Amanda Orgill-Nielson (Volleyball, 2004-07)
Amanda’s remarkable performance ranked her among the top volleyball players in the program’s history. She achieved significant personal stats, including leading the Aggies in kills multiple seasons. Her participation during key victories, like defeating Hawaii, cemented her legacy.Jessica Parenti Otte (Gymnastics, 2003, 2005-07)
A three-time all-conference gymnast, Jessica excelled in multiple events, including vaulting. Her performance led her to numerous titles and accolades, establishing her as one of the finest gymnasts in Utah State history.Taryn Rose (Soccer, 2011-14)
Taryn was pivotal in one of the most successful periods for Utah State soccer. Her defensive skills helped secure multiple conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. Over her career, her contributions helped the Aggies maintain one of the best defensive records in the program.

Since the Hall of Fame’s launch in 1993, over 150 individuals have been honored, including players, coaches, and contributors. These accolades not only recognize athletic talent but also highlight dedication to academics and community.
