Celebrity Chef Faces Death Threats Over Criticism of Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show: ‘No Offense to Meghan’

Chef Jameson Stocks recently made headlines after sharing his views on Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.” In an exclusive interview, he expressed that his comments resulted in receiving death threats. “I started getting all sorts of nasty messages,” he shared. “I never aimed to attack anyone personally; that’s just not who I am.”

During a segment on GB News, Stocks described the show as “terrible,” adding that it was “painful to watch.” He suggested that Markle, who is a talented actress, should return to acting rather than hosting a show. “People should focus on what they do best,” he said.

Reflecting on the backlash, Stocks felt overwhelmed as a single father dealing with such extreme responses. “I’m just a dad, and suddenly I’m facing death threats. What is happening here?” he questioned.

Stocks emphasized that his criticism was not a personal attack on Markle. “I have nothing against her,” he stated. “I just didn’t enjoy the show.” He also noted that his opinion would have been the same regardless of who the host was, whether it was a famous chef or a cartoon character. “I simply didn’t like the program,” he reiterated.

He further commented on how he hoped Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, would present their true selves instead of being in a scripted environment. “I wanted it to be good. I don’t agree with how she has been treated by the media. We should all strive for happiness in life,” he added.

Interestingly, Stocks mentioned that he had met with Netflix executives last year regarding a potential lifestyle show, which he assumed was for Markle. “It was a casual chat, and although they didn’t link it to her, I heard from someone that it was,” he explained.

However, a source from Netflix later denied that there were any discussions about Stocks being involved with “With Love, Meghan.” They insisted that he wasn’t approached for the show. “He expressed uncertainty about which show it was for,” the insider noted.

Amidst all this, Netflix has renewed “With Love, Meghan” for a second season, which has already completed production. Markle and Harry had signed a $100 million deal with the streaming platform back in 2020 after stepping away from their royal duties. Alongside “With Love, Meghan,” they have produced two other docuseries for the platform, highlighting various aspects of their lives.
