Chet Hanks has made an interesting choice: he’s living in an RV park in Nashville. The 35-year-old son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson shared this news during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
He moved to Nashville to chase his dream of country music. Hanks explained that instead of renting an apartment after just getting a furnished condo in L.A., he opted for the RV lifestyle. This decision came after he realized staying in Airbnbs and hotels became tiresome.
During a road trip, he fell in love with the idea of RV living after trying out an Airstream trailer. He now has a Jayco Eagle RV, which he’s incredibly happy with. His RV features a kitchen and a spacious walk-in shower—definitely a bonus!
When asked about his neighbors, Hanks joked that he’s likely the youngest person in the RV park by decades. He described it as a friendly community filled with retirees. Contrary to what one might expect, he finds the environment to be very pleasant.
Hanks does enjoy outdoor activities too, like sitting around a campfire. However, he often prefers the comfort of staying in, binge-watching Netflix, just like he would at home.
Recently, Chet returned to the U.S. after a trip that took him from Puerto Rico to Colombia. Traveling on his Greek passport, due to his U.S. passport nearing expiration, he had quite the adventure before finally heading back to Nashville.
