Christina Derevjanik Makes History on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ with .035M Win—Right in Front of Her Boss!

A woman from Connecticut has made “Wheel of Fortune” history! Christina Derevjanik snagged a stunning prize of $1,035,155, the largest in the show’s long-running history, during a recent episode.

“I have no words!” Derevjanik said when she realized she had won.

The Stamford marketing manager hit the “One Million Dollars” wedge early on. Along with her cash prize, she also won a trip to Montana and Japan before heading to the bonus round. With her boss watching in the audience, she joked about putting in her two-week notice if she hit the jackpot.

In the bonus round, she picked the “Living Things” category and quickly solved the puzzle with “PACK OF COYOTES.” Host Ryan Seacrest revealed the $1 million envelope, and confetti rained down as she celebrated.

“I’m so happy for you,” Ryan said during their embrace. An emotional moment followed, with Seacrest expressing his joy, saying, “I’m in tears.”

Derevjanik excitedly shared her plans to pay off her student loans. When asked if she had anything to say to her boss, she laughed and mentioned they would talk when they returned to work.

This win marks a significant moment for the show. Derevjanik is the first contestant to win over $1 million since Ryan Seacrest took over hosting duties in September 2024, following Pat Sajak’s departure in June. Since 2008, only four contestants have achieved this milestone.

The first to do so was Michelle Loewenstein in 2008, followed by Autumn Erhard in 2013, Sarah Manchester in 2014, and Melissa Joan Hart on “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” in 2021. According to game rules, winners can opt for $50,000 payments over 20 years or take a lump sum of $660,000, offering them a choice in how to manage their winnings.

As the excitement grows around her win, social media is buzzing with reactions. Fans are celebrating Derevjanik’s success and sharing their own dreams of striking it rich on the show.

As she looks forward to her new life with her winnings, Derevjanik represents what many hope to achieve — turning a game of chance into a life-changing opportunity.
