Meurisse chimed in, explaining that even after four to five years of hard work, it’s tough to gauge how everything will come together. “You see bits and pieces and can’t truly grasp everything until it’s finished,” he said. Playing the final version brought him joy, especially seeing how players connect with the characters and story.

Even after countless viewings of emotional scenes, like the prologue, they still felt a rush when players experienced it for the first time. The feedback added a new spark, reinvigorating their passion for development.

Reflecting on the game’s success, Meurisse remarked, “To me, it’s 120% of what I envisioned.” Broche wasn’t brimming with regrets but did mention a beloved character, Esquie, that he would love to explore more in the future.

Excitingly, Sandfall recently announced a major update for the game. Players can look forward to a new area filled with fresh enemies, additional boss battles, and new costumes. Fans are eager to see how Esquie might fit into this expansion.

In a recent survey, 72% of players expressed hope for more character development in future updates, particularly for Esquie. Social media buzz also shows that gamers are excited about the upcoming challenges and enhancements to the gameplay.
