Dell Unveils Sleeker Pro Laptops with Fresh Naming: What You Need to Know!

Dell is rolling out a new series of Pro laptops alongside a fresh take on its Precision line. The new models are named Dell Pro 3, Pro 5, and Pro 7. The Pro 3 and Pro 5 will come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, while the Pro 7 will be available as a 2-in-1 in 13 and 14 inches. All of these models are set to launch in May. They will offer options for Windows 11 or Ubuntu Linux, but prices are still under wraps.

These laptops will feature a variety of displays and processors. Buyers can choose from AMD Ryzen AI 400 series or Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips. Dell has redesigned the motherboard to be modular. This means it can fit across all models, making space for larger fans and better batteries. The result? Thinner laptops without sacrificing performance. The Pro 5 will even come with LPCAMM2 RAM, allowing users to upgrade their memory easily and enjoy faster speeds.

Joining the Pro series are the new Dell Pro Precision 5 14S and 16S models. These will kick off the refreshed Precision line when they arrive in May. The Precision 5S models can also be fitted with either Intel or AMD processors. They are designed as lightweight workstation options, focusing on integrated graphics rather than separate GPUs. Users can opt for the Intel version with a Core Ultra X9 chip that includes Arc B390 graphics.

Some changes are also coming to the Dell Pro 14 Premium. This model will stay in the lineup and receive an upgrade to Intel Panther Lake. It’s getting slimmer too, weighing just over 2.2 pounds (1 kg), making it the lightest in Dell’s offerings. The Pro 14 Premium is expected to launch on March 31, but pricing is still pending.

With the tech landscape changing rapidly, professionals need laptops that keep up. In a recent survey, 82% of professionals reported that a lightweight laptop improves productivity. Dell seems to have taken this into account with its new designs, focusing on portability along with power.

As users increasingly share their experiences online, social media reactions to Dell’s releases have been mixed. Many are excited about the lightweight options, while others are interested in how these models stack up against competitors like Apple and HP.
