DeSales University Athletics Shines as DiGuglielmo, Williamson, and Broxterman Named to All-ECAC Team!

Christina DiGuglielmo and Emma Williamson, along with head coach Samantha Broxterman, have made headlines recently by being named to the 2025 Division III Women’s Lacrosse All-ECAC Team. This recognition highlights their hard work and talent throughout an impressive season.

Broxterman earned the title of ECAC Coach of the Year, marking her second time receiving this honor. She also claimed the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year earlier this season. Under her leadership, the Bulldogs achieved a record-breaking 15 wins in a single season and became a powerhouse with seven players making the All-Conference team. The season was a historic one, with the Bulldogs recorded their first shutout win and tied or set multiple team records, including single-game goals (24), single-game assists (17), and points (42). They even went on a ten-game winning streak, the longest in the program’s history.

For DiGuglielmo and Williamson, this achievement marks their first time being recognized as All-ECAC players. They are the first to earn this honor since Katie Stordy in 2019.

DiGuglielmo had a standout season, breaking the single-season scoring record with 104 points and surpassing the assists record with 66. Her scoring prowess placed her first in the conference. She also ranked third on the team in goals and fourth in draw controls. As she heads into her senior year, DiGuglielmo stands as the all-time leader in points and assists.

Williamson also shone this season, being named to the All-MAC Freedom First-Team. She contributed significantly with 32 goals and 41 points, while also dominating in ground balls with 70—second most in team history. Her total ground balls have set the all-time career record at 154 as she looks forward to her senior season.

This season is a poignant reminder of how teamwork and dedicated leadership can transform a program. With fresh talents flourishing, the future looks bright for the Bulldogs.
