Known for its flavorful street food, döner kebab is made with thin slices of spit-roasted meat, fresh vegetables, and herby yogurt sauce. Unique to Black Forest Kitchen, choose from chicken or a plant-based version with oyster mushrooms, both topped with fresh ingredients like red cabbage, jalapeños, and feta cheese.
This restaurant adds a slice of German culinary culture to Oakland, reminding us that there’s more to German food than just sausages and schnitzels.
Exciting New Spots in West Oakland
The Prescott Market is another highlight, celebrating its grand opening on April 5. This food hall has been in soft opening mode recently, drawing in food lovers with its variety. You can find beer, burgers, coffee, pizza, and even Taiwanese fried rice. This place aims to become a gathering spot for community members, offering diverse choices for everyone.
Another exciting update is the arrival of Marble Slab Creamery, a sister brand of Round Table Pizza. Open since March 26, you can now grab pizza and enjoy delicious small-batch ice cream, sundaes, and creative ice cream cakes at their Temescal location.
