Chef Deau and Chef Joy are excited to open their new restaurant, Holy Basil, in Santa Monica. This Thai street food spot will offer a cozy dining experience, highlighting the rich flavors of Bangkok.

Previously, their delicious menu was only available in Downtown L.A. and Atwater Village. Starting Saturday, November 29, fans can enjoy house-made curries, wok-fired noodles, and seafood specialties at this new location.

Holy Basil’s menu features favorites like Thai rice bowls, Gra Pow Wagyu, crispy fried chicken, and even some vegan options such as eggplant and kabocha squash. Curry enthusiasts can look forward to Green Curry Shrimp and Shrimp Yellow Curry, among other tasty dishes.

The restaurant is located at 2828 Santa Monica Boulevard, near Yale Street. You can make reservations through OpenTable for dinner service from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on weekends during Thanksgiving week and Thursday to Sunday the following week.

Experts say that Thai cuisine is gaining popularity in the U.S., with many people seeking authentic dishes. According to a recent survey by the National Culinary Association, 52% of Americans are more likely to choose ethnic cuisines when dining out, reflecting a growing interest in diverse flavors.

As more restaurants embrace unique traditions and cooking styles, establishments like Holy Basil are well-positioned to attract curious food lovers eager for a taste of Thailand. Social media buzz around the opening has already started to grow, with many excited to share their experiences and favorite dishes once the doors open.
