U.S. News & World Report has just published its 2025–2026 Best Global Universities rankings. This year, they evaluated 2,250 universities from over 100 countries. The rankings focus on academic performance and reputation, using data from Clarivate’s Web of Science and InCites.

According to the report, China takes the lead with 397 institutions, while the U.S. follows with 280. India, Japan, and the U.K. also show strong representation with 118, 104, and 93 universities, respectively.
