MUJI Philippines has just launched its largest flagship store at Glorietta 3, marking a milestone in the brand’s eight-year journey in the country.
This new store covers over 2,600 square meters across three floors, showcasing the widest range of MUJI products. It reflects the brand’s commitment to aligning with Filipino lifestyles.
MUJI, short for Mujirushi Ryohin, means “no-brand quality goods” in Japanese. It’s recognized for its minimalistic design, practical products, and a unique retail approach that emphasizes simplicity.
More than just a store, MUJI Glorietta serves as a lifestyle hub. “This flagship store is about more than size; it’s about purpose,” said Takeshi Akiyoshi, president of MUJI Philippines. “We aim to provide comfort, sustainability, and simplicity that fit Filipino living.”
A standout feature of the store is its first-ever MUJI Bakery. Here, you can find freshly baked goods made daily, including the beloved pandesal and croissants.
The store also has its largest Coffee Counter yet. It can seat over 120 guests and offers drinks made from Benguet coffee beans and Hokkaido milk, adding a local touch to its international offerings.
The store serves as an interactive space with options for embroidery, clothing alterations, refill stations, and a stamp table for personalizing stationery. These offerings create a unique shopping experience.
Local elements are woven into the store’s design. The interiors feature reclaimed wood from the Philippines and plants sourced from a chemical-free farm in Batangas, emphasizing sustainability.
Akiyoshi explained that the decision to open such a large location was driven by growing demand and the desire to provide a complete MUJI experience. “In the Philippines, many young people are seeking quality and simplicity,” he noted.
MUJI Glorietta is open every day, ready to welcome those looking for a blend of style and functionality.
