PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — This weekend, the World of Wheels car show is celebrating in Pittsburgh, and it promises to be one of the biggest yet. For car enthusiasts, this event is like a beauty contest, but for automobiles.
Expect to see shiny chrome and immaculate paint jobs, all showcasing creative designs. Among the highlights are a replica of the famous DeLorean and cars from “The Dukes of Hazzard.” But the true gems are the restored cars, often saved from being scrapped, and transformed into stunning masterpieces.
Bruce Harvey from Pro Comp Custom emphasizes that this year stands out. “This is the top of the game here,” he said.
One of the most exciting aspects of the show is the crowning of the number one show car in the country. Larry Way, the PR director for World of Wheels, shared the significance, saying, “We have the top show cars from North America here. In the car world, this is a really big deal.”
Over the weekend, about 30,000 visitors are expected to marvel at more than 400 cars. The event is taking place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, drawing car lovers from all around.
