Last year, he and his partner Liam Denning invited their 1.8 million followers to Brooklyn for the first-ever Yes Chef Food Fest. The response was overwhelming, with 6,000 food lovers gathering for a summer celebration filled with great eats and drinks.
Goldburg shares, “People came from all over the world to enjoy NYC’s best food in one spot and participate in culinary experiences they might not get otherwise.” Last year featured a unique event like a 300-pound bluefin tuna cutting. This year, with excitement high, they decided to do it all over again.
The Yes Chef Food Fest is back this weekend, June 7-8. The location has moved to Greenpoint, giving the event a spacious 40,000-square-foot area. Expect over-the-top culinary demonstrations, curated bar experiences, and bites from top-notch restaurants.
Festival-goers can sample various treats, such as trendy chocolate from Nuts Factory, freshly shucked oysters from Oyster Party, and luxury strawberries from Oishii—yes, the $10 six-pack kind. In addition to free caviar tastings, attendees can watch and even join in on cooking demos, including a live cheese wheel tasting and tuna breakdown from Sushi by Bou.
More than 30 restaurants will be featured, each offering unique dishes. Among the newcomers, Katz’s Delicatessen will be slicing its famous pastrami. Other fresh faces include Apollo Bagels and NADC Burger, known for their Wagyu smash burgers. Returning favorites like Bark Barbecue and Prince Street Pizza will also be serving up their signature dishes.
Goldburg hopes this year’s festival entertains and satisfies guests. “We want people to explore new flavors and try dishes they might not have tasted before,” he says. The goal is to leave everyone impressed and well-fed.
Ticket prices range from $35 to $75, while VIP options are available from $300 to $400.
