Discover the Future of MUSE Microscopy: Introducing SmartPath Technology and Welcoming Yanbin (Eric) Qiang as President of Asia Markets

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MUSE Microscopy, Inc. is excited to introduce its new SmartPath MUSE Technology™ (SmartPath). This groundbreaking imaging tool uses MUSE (Microscopy with Ultraviolet Surface Excitation) to enhance pathology work by moving away from traditional slide methods. For over a century, histology has used slides, and SmartPath aims to change that completely.

USCAP Sponsorship Announcement
“At MUSE Microscopy, we are not just innovating digital pathology; we’re empowering labs and clinicians to make significant advancements,” shared Matthew Nuñez, CEO of MUSE Microscopy. “Our SmartPath Imaging platform can transform how pathology is done by providing a slide-free imaging solution that simplifies the process.”

MUSE Microscopy will be a Platinum Sponsor at the upcoming United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) conference, set for March 22-27, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts.

At this conference, MUSE will present its innovative technology aimed at enhancing the pathology field. Attendees are invited to a special cocktail reception and presentation on Monday, March 24, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The event will feature notable speakers, including Dr. Jianyu Rao from UCLA and MUSE CEO Matthew Nuñez, who will discuss the benefits of the SmartPath imager. A panel discussion led by Dr. Aleksandra Zuraw from Digital Pathology Place will focus on the growth and future of digital pathology.

We are eager to connect with attendees and advance the field of pathology during this important event, sharing insights into our innovative slide-free imaging approach that is changing diagnostics.

Appointment of President of Asia Markets
We are pleased to announce that Yanbin (Eric) Qiang is expanding his role at MUSE Microscopy. Alongside his position on the Board, Eric will now serve as the President of Asia Markets. His leadership will help us grow in response to the rising international interest in our SmartPath system.

Eric Qiang is a recognized leader in the medical device sector in China. He earned his degree in Business Administration from Hangzhou Dianzi University, which launched his 30-year career in the medical field.

Eric is an expert in brand marketing and strategic development, using innovative tactics to position his company in a competitive market. He has built strong relationships with major medical device manufacturers. Under his guidance, MUSE Microscopy is ready to bring innovation to Asia’s medical device distribution.

“Eric’s leadership exemplifies how to tackle market needs with smart strategies. With him at the helm, we can expect great things for MUSE Microscopy in Asia,” stated Matthew Nuñez, CEO of MUSE.

MUSE is actively collaborating with teams in Asia on clinical studies as we prepare for our market entry. Eric is working closely with Dr. Rao and our clinical teams to refine our strategies.

The SmartPath Imager has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and is currently intended for research use only. It has not received approval or clearance from the FDA, meaning its safety and effectiveness are not established for medical use.
