With seven amplifiers, it has a total output of 56W, compared to the Heston 120’s 150W. For many, this power will suffice, especially since the Heston 60 has unique features.
One of the coolest aspects of the Heston 60 is its versatility. It can be wall-mounted or placed on a TV stand, thanks to specially designed waveguides and angled drivers. Plus, the magnetic Marshall logo can be repositioned, depending on how you set it up. A major highlight is its focus on repairability; many components, like the speaker grill, end caps, and circuit boards can be replaced, ensuring longevity.
In terms of connectivity, the Heston 60 is ready for modern needs, featuring HDMI 2.1 eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, and compatibility with AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. It even includes modes tailored for specific situations. Voice mode enhances dialogue, making it perfect for watching movies without subtitles. Night mode softens loud sounds, allowing for a more peaceful viewing experience late at night.
Marshall is also introducing the Heston Sub 200 subwoofer, which echoes the design of the Heston 60. With a wireless connection, you can say goodbye to cable clutter. The sub can pair with the Heston 120 for those already invested in Marshall’s larger soundbars.
While both the Heston 60 and the Heston Sub 200 launch on September 23 at $699 and $599, respectively, they’re considered a premium investment. As audio technology continues to advance, a focus on sustainability like Marshall’s commitment to repairability is increasingly relevant.
